Pattern Stone
Natural flagstone cut in "pattern" takes the beauty and appeal of real stone to a more formal level. Many types of flagstone are available in common pattern dimensions to create a traditional, random ashlar style or can be installed in classic layouts used in brick or paver applications for a striking symetrical or geometric effect.

Pennsylvania Bluestone is one of the most widely distributed domestic flagstones in the U.S. It is a very durable and predictable stone with a pleasing earthy color palette. The name "bluestone" can be somewhat misleading as this material is really a "full-color" stone in hues from blue/gray/green/brown and lilac. It is available in all blue - referred to as BlueBlue, Lilac or Lavendar and Full-Color which includes a range of every color, is the most commonly specified and widely available and has the lowest price point in this material. A kin to Blue Ice in that it is also quarried in India, Buff Pattern Sandstone brings a warm palette to any project. Colors range from light buff to creamy beige with some veining. This material is significantly harder and more durable than Arizona sandstones, therefore, may be more appropriate for outdoor installation in colder, wetter climates when Southwestern or Mediterranean colors are called for.
